Monday

Accommodation available for the arrival and accommodation of participants.

Free transfer from Ascea train station. (The arrival time must be informed)

Registration in the apartments. Arrival time starting from 14:00 hours.

 

Tuesday:
Registration and free day.

 

Wednesday

09:00 Meeting in the Residence to make the Orientation Visit of Marina di Ascea.

09:30 Welcome breakfast. Free time.

 

Thursday

Free time to visit the market in Marina di Ascea.

In the beautiful seafront of Marina di Ascea (5 km) it is possible to visit the market, where you can find many bargains, clothes, costumes, embankments and typical products at a great price.

17:00 Presentation of Courses and Professors with Peripatetic Lessons at the Archaeological Park of Elea Velia.

Entrance to the Velia Museum and Park Euro 13. Includes entrance to the Greek Temples of Paestum on Friday.

Ancient cradle of the Eleatic School of Magna Graecia, ELEA-VELIA. Home also to the illustrious philosophical school. Its founder was Parmenides followed by his disciple Zeno.

 

Friday

09:00 Visit to the Greek Temples of Paestum and visit to the production plant of Mozzarella di Bufala.

The most beautiful and best preserved city of Magna Graecia. Guided tour of the Archaeological Museum and of the magnificent Greek temples. Free time for the shopping of typical souvenirs, possibility to attend representations of Greek tragedies in the stage of the temples of Cerere, La Basilicata and Nettuno. On the way back, visit and free time for lunch at a typical 0 km product factory, with authentic buffalo milk from Campania.

Saturday

Day off. We recommend a visit to Pisciotta, Borgo Medievale and Marinaro. (euro 20, round trip transfer + guided tour of the Borgo)

 

Sunday and Monday

Optional Visit: Basilicata and Puglia Region: Matera, Alberobello

Including Bus, 1 night Hotel with Breakfast.

1st day Arrival in Matera, a city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993 for the uniqueness of the stones: ancient districts whose houses have been carved into the limestone rock.

Guided tour of the historic center and of the “sasso Barisano” accommodation in Hotel.

2nd day Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning free visit of Alberobello, the city of the Trulli, today recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free time for lunch Return to Marina di Ascea.

Tuesday

09:00 Italian Language and Culture lessons.

17:00 Trekking by one of the beautiful nature trails of the Cilento National Park-

 

Wednesday

09:00 Boat trip to the paradisiacal natural harbor “Baia degli Infreschi” and Marina di Camerota.

It starts from the port of Marina di Camerota, in a succession of coves and beaches and arrives at the natural port of Baia Infreschi. Free day at the beach on one of the beaches considered to be the most beautiful in Italy. After returning from the boat ride, free time to visit the historic center of Marina di Camerota.

 

Thursday

Free time to visit the market in Marina di Ascea.

Friday

08:00 am Visit to the POMPEII EXCAVATIONS (Admission Euro 15)

Pompeii is the most famous of the cities destroyed by the terrible eruption of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 AD. Excavations begun in the 18th century led to the discovery of this magnificent city which demonstrates the prosperity and splendor of the Roman Empire.

Free time for lunch in Pompeii.

Cilento Outlet Shopping Center

On the way back there is a stop at the Cilento Outlet Shopping Center, expanding variety of local and international brands with very convenient offers, supermarket and various gastronomic offers

 

Saturday, Sunday and Monday

OPTIONAL CALABRIA AND SICILY: Tropea, Milazzo, Taormina. (minimum 30 participants)

1st day Saturday 07:00 am Departure for Calabria. Arrival in Tropea Calabria, free time for lunch

We will go together to discover a Tropea never seen before. We will walk together among historic buildings, churches, hidden terraces and secret alleys, visiting places full of stories and legends. Our cultural – photographic walk will last about 2 hours. Departure to take the ferry to Messina (Sicily). Arrival in Milazzo. Accommodation in the hotel on the beautiful Lungomare and free evening for dinner in front of the sea.

2nd day Sunday After breakfast

Departure for TAORMINA Our tour of the famous city of Taormina, a pioneer in elite Sicilian tourism, with its splendid views and the Greek-Roman remains of its monuments. Return to the hotel in Milazzo.

3rd day Monday After breakfast Return to Marina di Ascea

Price Euro 340 (price per person in double / triple room, Single room supplement Euro 60)

Included: Bus / Messina ferry / 2 nights of hotel with breakfast / guided tour of Tropea and Taormina.

Optional entrance to the Greek Theater of Taormina 11 euros per person

Tuesday

09:00 Italian Language and Culture lessons.

13:45 hours Visit to SALERNO by train.

Train ticket € 6.00 each section per person.

 

Wednesday

09:00 Italian Language and Culture lessons.

15:30 Visit to the village of Castellabate. Bus transfer and guided tour.

Castellabate World Heritage Site a unique place in Cilento where history, nature, art, archeology and culture join together with an uncontaminated sea. Famous for being the setting for the film Benvenuti al Sud.

Friday

07:00 Visit to NAPLES and the National Archaeological Museum (admission € 14).

Guided visit to the historical center and museum.

Guided tour of the city. The artistic treasures to visit: the historic center, the Magnificent Archaeological Museum, the unforgettable view of the sea and a city of a thousand faces and many colors, to be savored with all the senses.

 

Saturday

Day off. We recommend a visit to the Castle and Historic Center of Agropoli.

 

Sunday

Day off. We recommend a boat trip to Capo Palinuro and its famous Blue Grotto.

 

Monday

Capri Island and Amalfi Coast (By boat):

Visit of CAPRI – POSITANO.

Departure by ship from the port of Salerno or Palinuro, sailing along the Cilento coast and the Amalfi coast. Arrival in Marina Grande (Isle of Capri), ascent by funicular and walk to the gardens of Augustus to admire the famous “Faraglioni”. Free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon we hop on on a boat for a visit to the Amalfi Coast, declared a World Heritage Site. Arrival in Positano for a guided tour and free time for a walk through the characteristic streets and shops.

18.00 Delivery of certificates and end of the course toast

During the visits, participants must pay for their meals and entrance tickets to monuments, museums, shows, meals in typical restaurants and trattorias, deck chairs, sun beds and umbrellas on the beaches.
